Hi Kara: I am sheryl in NM. I am 45 years old and my parents have supported me but they too had a very hard time with the surgery. since I had my surgery my mother is calming down and really seeing that is was a good thing.I was 453 at surgery and now I am weighing 377 in just 3 months. My health is greatly improved and I can walk 20 min. a day now instead of being wheelchair bound now. since Feb while preparing for surgery I have lost 70 lbs beforesurgery so I have lost 147 lbs since Feb. I think she will be ok in time with it when she sees how well you are doing. keep up the good work and I hope to see you on the other side soon. Sheryl
