Wow!! School starts and my life outside of the schoolhouse seemingly stops!! I continued to lose over the summer and I reached my pesonal goal of weighing 199!!!
Life is sweet!! I will begin this Wednesday night teaching a "Healthy Living" Life Development class at my church. This will be the second time I have taught this class. What a switch!!! I went from weighing well over 400 pounds and now I am the one teaching a "Healthly Living" class. God is GOOD!!! :o)

Biggest Loser Contest @ my school!

I am very competitive! This is what has helped me lose the weight I gained from the thyroid condition. The teachers at my school decided before our Christmas break that when we returned after the holidays that anyone who was interested could join our own "Biggest Loser" contest. I joined!! We decided that we would have to go by precentage of weight lost as the determining factor for winning. We all weighed in on Jan. 5, 2007....Ugh!!! I weighed in at 303.5! I couldn't believe I was back into the 300's again. I determined in my mind right then and there that I was going to reach my goal. I began working out and watching my intake. I weighed in today, 17 weeks later, at 236 pounds! I have lost 67.5 pounds in 17 weeks!!! That is 22.24% of my weight. I am currently the leader and I am not looking back. My goal for this competion was to lose 75 pounds and I am 7.5 pounds shy of that goal. My goals do not end there!! I want to reach my ultimate goal of 180 pounds! I am VERY determined! It has been 6 years since my weight loss surgery and I came VERY close to my goal just prior to my thryoid disease and surgery, BUT I am making it this time. I will NOT be stopped.
The Biggest Loser contest is over!!! I won!! I lost 75.5 pounds from January 5 until May 28th!! the $500 is in the bank!!
Now, I only have about 30 more to go!!
