Referral Letter
Jul 05, 2007
Hurray! I'm going Tuesday (July 10th) to get my referral letter from my primary care physician. I'll fax it and my insurance card to my surgeon that day and hopefully will be approved quickly. I've only heard excellent things about TriCare, so I'm not really concerned. I'm just not a patient person and I am beyond ready to get all of this started. I think once I have my first appointment I'll feel like I'm really on my way.
Yay!

Searching For A Surgeon
Jun 26, 2007
I've looked at so many lists of surgeons in the last week or so. I've sent a ton of emails out. I've only gotten a few replies. Most of them have been to let me know that this doctor, or that clinic, or this hospital doesn't accept my TriCare insurance.
I've been contacted by Dr. Freeman of the Freeman Clinic in Anniston, Alabama. They seem genuinely interested. After researching them and the clinic, I have to say that I'm impressed. I really think that they might be the clinic for me.
True, they're 5 hours away. But I think it'll be well worth it.

After waiting patiently for two weeks my PCP finally finished with my referral letter. Why anything like that should take two weeks I have no idea. I went and picked it up just before lunch and will be faxing it this afternoon.
I'm hoping to hear some good news soon.
On another front...my blood pressure isn't going down as well as I had hoped th at it would. The enalapril doesn't seem to be working like that other medicine that I was on. I've had some of the worst headaches ever over the last three or four days. I'm prone to migraines, so I'm hoping that's all that it is, but I dunno. It feels different than a migraine headache.
I took my medicine a bit ago and an excedrin migraine. Guess I'll go lay down for a bit and see how I feel later this afternoon.
