Nancy... I wanted to say that I'm covering you in prayer for your surgery this week. I'm a Hoosier and actually lived in Terre Haute for two years while attending ISU back in the 80's. I had surgery two months ago in Franklin IN and it's the best decision I could've made for myself. I pray that God will bless you & keep you in His hands as you begin this life-alterring journey to the new and healthier you!! :-)

Nancy: This is a good place to share. People here are great. I know you have responsibilities, but try to put "you" at the top of your list for a while, just a while. You can still be a mom and a daughter and a wife, but don't think you have to do it ALL. Just do what absolutely must be done. Nancy is #1. Immediately postop you are the one who will need taking care of and you're not going to feel "normal" again for at least a few weeks. Feel free to email me and vent anytime. I'll pray for you and remember, God is good. Trust Him, He has a knack for handling everything. Robin

Nancy, My heart goes out to you. Your life is so jammed and you need time to adgust yourself before surg. Its no wonder you feel the way you do! Is there any support groups for patients like your mothers? Is there local agencies that could help with her care? How about agencies to help with your grandchildren? Check out your local Department of human services to see if there is any help out there. You need to focus on yourself too. this surg. is a lot to deal with in its own right. I am glad you found a place to vent here at OH. Just know that I am praying your journey gets easier and that your surgery goes well with no complications....God knows you have enough! Best wishes and Stay strong! ~HUGS~ Becky

Nancy, it is okay, sometimes we just need to get things off of our chests so that we can feel better. What a better place to do it then here a place where people will understand what you are going through. Let me tell you that you have every right to feel stressed out and pushed to your limits. You have so much that you are dealing with and are responsible for. Add in this stressful surgery you are about to undertake and you get too much at one time. My heart goes out to you as you certainly need a timeout. You need some you time right now take hold of your sanity. What may be left of it at this point in your life. But rest assured you are a mighty woman and let that be your rock in times of need. Not many people would have been able to do all that you are doing at this time. You will be in my prayers for peace, strength, courage, patience and healing. I am praying that your surgery is uneventful and that your recovery is smooth. Blessings to you.

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.
