Hi Gracemarie, it's you long lost cousin Lisa. I am back online and I missed ya! I survived my skin removal surgery and am back at work. I miss your sense of humor and your spirit. I pray for you all the time that you get to have your surgery. Hang in there. P.S. your old bald-headed cousin said hi shithead! note to everyone : I don't want to offend anyone but these two come from a family similar to The Bundy's and cursing at each other is how they show their love. They crack me up!

Hi, Grace asked me to go on here and post an update for her other family. Grace is not feeling to well but she will be ok, she had to have surgery on her foot yesterday due to a diabetic complication, for a while afterwards she seemed ok after taking what she calls her happy pills for pain. But she has been in allot of pain last night and could not sleep. We will call the Doctor today and see if he can give her something a little stronger so she can rest. Ok she does have some good news for you. She said she posted something on the board about going to a lawfirm and asking for a lawyer to help her on her case against the insurance companies denial and refusal to even look at the medical proof that she does meet the medical criteria for weight loss surgery. She said she also told you that she thought one of the lawyers was going to take the case because she was told to call Thursday for her Attorney's name. Well she called Friday because she was not feeling up to calling Thursday after the firm left a voice mail. The extremely good news is she does not have a lawyer fighting for her. The firm assigned her case to 2 attorneys so she has 2 lawyers on her side fighting for her rights. They are going to get all her medical records and speak to her regular doctor and the surgeon. Even though she filed an appeal for a new hearing, because her rights were violated at the last hearing. All weekend right as we read this they are filing more paperwork with the courts. Grace has finely cheered up since the last denial and she feels for the first time in a long time that she has hope. She has been saying for months that she wanted to help the morbidly obese and be an advocate for the obese, I told her that maybe the reason she has to go though all this is because she has to know how to help the obese and I feel God has a special plan for her and this is part of that plan. Also Grace is extremely happy with her new little cousin. Grace's cousin who had a problem pregnancy gave birth to a girl who's name is Rebecca Pearl. Grace is madly is love with the baby already. God is good. He will come through for you. Keep fighting them DON'T GIVE UP. It sounds to me you have a lot of evidence in your defense and should be approved in a heartbeat. Work with your attorney and present the tape of the hearing and you will be fine. I expect to hear from you telling me your surgery date. God Bless!

Dear Grace, I'm so sorry to read about the trials and tribulations that you are going through. Isn't it ironic how they preach about the virtues of weight loss but don't want to back it up with action? It's truly sickening! I hope that you win your battle with those people and will soon be on our way to your new life. Hugs,

I have had GERD as bad as you describe. Now that I have had surgery, I have not had it once! It is amazing! I know that doesn't make you feel better because you are still struggling with insurance, but know that once you do have surgery, things will get better. I used to take 1-2 Zantac every day and some Tums, too. Now I take 2 Tums just because of the calcium! I have not even had a whisper of heartburn since surgery. I wish you luck and will be praying for you!

Grace, You will beat this. Take that letter, and each piece of evidence to refute it, go down to the office and sit there until you can meet with the judge.. than show him! Keep on fighting girl.. it is not the end of the world.. you can do this and win! Gods love, comfort, help and peace are being sent your way! Tami

Grace, <p> Sounds like you have more crap coming from your insurance then any 5 people could handle. Please hang in there... If you left this world tomorrow, who would be left to kick some MAJOR butt in Salem? Please know that you are not alone...
