ONLY 9 MORE DAYS TO INITIAL CONSULT. I AM GETTING VERY NERVOUS. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF JUST PICKING UP FINAL RECORDS TO TAKE. AND FILLING OUT DIET HISTORY. ETC. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I AM ON OTHER SIDE

I AM SO MAD AT THE INCOMPETANT JERKS AT THE SALEM HOSPITAL SLEEP DISORDERS CLINIC, I HAD 2 SLEEP STUDIES THE FIRST STUDY I DID NOT SLEEP AND SO THEY HAD TO RE-DO THE STUDY, I FOUND OUT TODAY FROM THE MEDICAL SUPPLY HOUSE WHY MY INSURANCE DENIED ME FOR A CPAP MACHINE, THE IDIOTS AND MORONS AND THE SLEEP DISORDERS CLINIC SENT MY INSURANCE THE RESULTS FROM THE FIRST SLEEP STUDY AND NOT THE RESULTS OF THE SECOND SLEEP STUDY. THE FIRST STUDY SINCE I DID NOT SLEEP DID NOT SUPPORT SLEEP APNEA, BUT THE SECOND REPORT SUPPORTED THE SLEEP APNEA, SO SINCE I HAD COPY OF BOTH REPORTS (FOR SURGEON) I FAXED IT TO THE MEDICAL SUPPLY HOUSE AND THEY ARE GOING TO RESUBMIT IT TO MY INS COMPANY.

ONLY 17 MORE DAYS TO GO UNTIL MY INITIAL CONSULT WITH SURGEON, I AM GETTING MORE ANXIOUS BY THE DAY. HOPE MY INS SAYS YES AND HOPE TO GET A DATE SOON

Finelly my photo is up, went around to sign papers to have medical records released because my surgeon wants me to hand carry medical records for my initial consult. I have to wait for phone calls for most but 2 places gave me copies of the records while I was there and this may sound crazy but when I got home I was so happy when I read the records, I jumped up and down yelling and my bulldog ended up biting me in the rear end, he tends to do that when he gets excited but the reason I am happy is THE MEDICAL RECORDS SUPPORT MY NEED FOR WLS. ONE REPORT SAID MY COPD AND ASTHMA WAS A RESULT OF A NARROW AIRWAY DUE TO MORBID OBESITY. AND MY SLEEP STUDY REPORT SAID I STOPPED BREATHING 89 TIMES. WITH WHAT I AM READING IN MY RECORDS IT IS GOING TO BE EXTREMELY HARD FOR MY INSURANCE TO DENY ME, THE REPORTS ALSO MENTIONED MY DIABETES AND MY ACID REFLUX, HA HA HA HA HA, THE INSURANCE IS GOING TO HAVE A HARD TIME SAYING NO BECAUSE OF ALL THE COMORBIDITES. THIS DREAM OF MINE IS STARTING TO BECOME A REALITY JUST 19 MORE DAYS TO MY INITIAL CONSULT. I HAD TO LEAVE MY JOB DUE TO MY HEALTH BECAUSE OF MY OBESITY AND IF I HAVE THIS SURGERY THEN WHEN MY WEIGHT GOES DOWN, I WANT TO GO BACK TO MY OLD JOB

Got a letter in the mail today stating that my insurance has denied me for a CPAP machine. Which they have paid for 2 sleep studies and I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and they denied the machine that would keep my airway open at night when I sleep, I can appeal it but I do not think I will, because their denial of the machine could end up biting them in the backside when I see my surgeon for my initial consult and when I write the letter to the insurance company, I will list sleep apnea as a co-morbidity and they absolutely do not have any defense to me not treating the sleep apena after all they denied me for the machine and I cannot afford to pay for it myself becasue the machine is very expensive.

IT'S OFFICIAL I DO HAVE SLEEP APNEA, GOT THE RESULTS TODAY AND I NEED A PAP MACHINE AND THE SETTING ON IT WILL BE 13. WHATEVER THAT MEANS.....

Grace, Just hang in there, and worry when they tell you that you have to. Most electrolyte problems are rather easily fixed and avoidable repeats. We're all pulling for you. Charlene
