OMG OMG OMG! Got on the scale this morning and....drum roll please!...I HAVE JOINED THE CENTURY CLUB!!!!! I have lost a total of 100.5 pounds!!!! I started at 277 on March 28, 2002 (my re-birthday) and now weight 176.5! I love this site - its been such an inspiration - and all the wonderful people who contribute their stories (good and bad). To everyone waiting for approval - keep your head up and hang in there, to everyone having surgery this week - WAY TO GO! Lisa

Just wanted to pass onto you that 1 week does not a platue make. :>) Don't get frustrated yet...your body has to adapt itself to it's new weight. Have you measured yourself? I bet you're losing inches even if the scale hasn't moved. If after two to three weeks you haven't lost noticable inches or pounds then you can freak LOL. Hope this helps to calm you. Lisa, I hit a nasty plateau like you, also. Click on my name on your surgery page to read my profile and how the plateau ended, they all do!! Keep the faith!

I am on the losing side!!!! WOO HOO!!!! It's been a long week (I am exactly one week post-op), but it has been getting better every day. I actually sat up from a semi-reclining position today without grunting! LOL AND (DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!)...I've lost 8 pounds so far! I am so excited! I still feel all bloated (my abdomen), but that will go in time. I wanted to thank everyone again who signed my surgery page, and Kim O'Connell for being a great angel!

I saw Lisa at the hospital on Saturday (march 30). she was sitting up and had been walking the halls. she is in good spirits and seems to be recovering well. Lisa should be coming home on Sunday afternoon. kim
