Hi becky. I read your post and I am sorry you are upset. Look at the brighter side, you are getting closer and closer to the losing side. Good luck on your upcoming surgery and I hope you have a speedy and painless recovery and best wishes on the rest of your journey.

BECKY~~ I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW FRUSTRATED YOU ARE~~ however, the sleep study is a very important test- if you have untreated sleep apnea you are at a higher risk when you go into surgery. So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable

Dear Becky, I totally understand where you are coming from. You raise so many good points in your post, and many of us do have to jump thru a lot of hoops and feel a lot of frustration before reaching our goal. Doctor's and hospitals have to do every test known to man to cover their as&&es. Just take a deep breath, and remember the end result will mean many more vacations with your lovely family. Hang in there, sister!!!!

Hi all my new AMOS freinds! Thanks to everyone for posting words of encouragement! I really appreciate your kind thoughts! I have recently been to see a kidney dr. I have only 1 kidney. I lost the other one when I was 8yrs. old due to chronic infection. Anyway he told me I was a go for surgery too. I have a few problems with the existing kidney but that should correct itself somewhat after surgery. He said my weight now would mean a shorter life span for the kidney I have left and would possibly mean diaylsis in the future! If I had any doubts about this surgery before, I DON'T NOW! My health is in reasonably good shape other than that so I feel very confident goin in to surgery! My date is 65 days and a wake up! CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH FOR ME! Best of luck to all surgery goers this week!Be strong, your dreams are about to come true! For all post ops.....my your recovery be speedy and uneventful! HUGS TO ALL!!!!

Becky... congrats on getting your approval!! The waiting is hard, and the other obstacles can be difficult as well!! I try to remember that God will give you what you need in His timing, not necessarily as we see it should be!! God bless you and hang in there... it'll work out and you'll be starting a whole new life!! :-)
