Dr. Storey was very personal and to the point . He lets his patients know from the very beginning that this has to be taken serious . I liked his straight forwardness with me . I would recomind him to anyone that is looking to have weight loss surgery . His staff is very friendly and efficent . When I had any questions they would answer them . There wasn't anything that I didn't like about him . He stresses aftercare very strongly . He put the risks out there and he stressed that this WLS is permanent . Over all I give him a 9 . I think that surgical compentence and bedside manner go hand in hand .

3/3/03 My first impression of Dr. Storey was a good one. I sensed that he really cared about his patients, and about people in general by devoting his practice primarily to assisting overweight people to reach their goal weight. I think it is an admirable profession. His office staff is friendly and explained my financial responsibilities. My first meeting with Dr. Storey was short and sweet; I didn't have many questions because I've been researching for almost a year, but I asked even more questions. He explained some finer points to me, to make sure I understood the risks involved. As of today, I would rate him a 8/10. BUT, I have only had one meeting with him, and that may change.

Dr. Storey is a very informative doctor. He likes to give you alot of info about your surgery. I really like him and his staff. The only problem is the billing staff, they do not give you up front out of pocket expenses. Be prepared with all if his requirements prior to fist visit. He has a monthly support group and he is always available for problems you may have. He explains any and all problems one might have with and after surgery. I would rate him a 10. His surgical care and bedside manner are A-ONE.

Wonderful doctor, very informative with his group meetings. My consult visit went very well his staff was great, and on my second visit a month later I was approved. They were great. Dr. Storey and his staff was shocked I got approved so soon but he said it was probobly because I came in so prepared which he loved. After the approval he made sure I was certain and told me it was okay to be afraid and let me know it was okay to change my mind. He's a wonderful doctor.
Consult 1/13/03
2nd visit 2/10/03 Approved
Surgery 3/18/03 Yeah!!!

Dr. Storey is great, very informative to me. His office staff is great. So far I have not found anything I do not like about him. He is very out going. I would recommend him to anyone interested in WLS. I like all of the pre-requirements he has. His support group is great. I like the fact that he has a support group for after your WLS monthly. He tells you what all of the risks of the surgery are, what to expect after surgery and that it is a life style change for the rest of your like. I rate his a 10. I know his surgical competence is great, because of the people I know that he has done WLS for. The only thing I did not like was the billing staff, they should let you know in advance of the total out of pocket cost for you. I had to reschedule my surgery because the day before was when they informed me the up front cost. But this has not changed my mind about Dt. Storey. Looking forward to my WLS....

My first impression of Dr. Storey was: Here is a man on a mission. He is on a mission to help people. My first contact with Dr. Storey was at a seminar he was giving at Bayshore, the hospital where I will be having wls. He made sure everyone understood the risks, and subsequent food restrictions post-surgery. He requires all surgical patients to attend this seminar, which he gives monthly. His requirements for all patients are to have a referral from a PCP, screening by a psychiatrist for depression, and to meet with his dietician. You must be 100 pounds overweight and provide a history of diets tried and pounds lost. His office staff is very friendly. Dr. Storey does emphasize aftercare. He has started a support group that meets monthly. At the seminar I went to in November, he said that he was still going to all of the support group meetings, but that he was looking for someone else to head the meetings. He said that he will still come to some of the meetings, but not all, once he finds someone. I haven't seen anything negative to say about Dr. Storey.

I have been very impressed with Dr. Storey and his staff. He has seemed to be very understanding and wants to make sure you understand all the risks and benefits associated with the surgery. He stresses that aftercare is a very important part of your surgery. Through his office he offers a monthly meeting and a dietian that is available anytime. Dr. Storey offers a very personnal relationship with his patients.
