I had heard that he was a really conciderate doctor and i believe it 100% and after 4 months i still believe it. His staff is wonderful especially his nurse Theresa. I don't think there was anything I didn't like about him. He is just so wonderful I can't describe it. Future patience should know that if you get in to see him you are really blessed. After care is really important to him, You better take those vitamins and exercise or he will tell you all about it. He told me bluntly about the risks of surgery and explained everything i had questions about. Dr. Clements is deffinately a 10 in my book.Surgical competence and bedside manner are also great. He knows what he is doing.

Dr. Clements is a very nice person who really does understand what we are going through.
His staff is very helpful, although I feel they are sometimes overwhelmed. Aftercare is very important, I feel like he made sure this was understood.
I think he is the best one to do the surgery for me, I had opportunity to have the surgery earlier by another surgeon but I really felt Dr. Clements was the best for me.
He will let you know exactly what it is going to be like and what to except. He lets you know that this is a way of helping you change. He does the surgery the rest is up to you.

Dr. Clements is a very nice man. He is very upfront and honest about the risks. He is upbeat, positive and encouraging yet wants to make sure his patients understand all the risks and make a truly informed decision. It takes a while to get in to see him, his office is extremely busy. He is very strict and stresses aftercare. Which I feel is extremely important. Dr. Clements is an extremely talented surgeon and a caring doctor. Overall this process has been a very pleasant experience.

Dr. Clements was very upbeat and informative. He explained all of the side effects and was very up front about the surgery. On one of my visits he offered his hand to shake mine I told him I wanted to hug his neck. He had help me accomplish something I had been working on all of my life.
After he relieved Michelle of her dutiesas hs insurance person I think he has a great staff. I don't think there is anything about Dr. Clements that I didn't like about him. I think future patients should know he is a caring Christain doctor and in my book he is the best.Dr. Clements had a great bedside manner and I feel is extremely competent. UAB being a teaching school is probably the greatest draw back. It's a great hospital but there were so many doctors coming by I couldn't remember them all.

My first impression was as expected...Great.
He is very honest and concerned about ones long term health. He could care less if you looked like a blimb or a stick. He just wants to improve your overall health. His staff is fantastic. Dewanna is very kind and efficient. She has never not returned a phone call or not answered my questions. She goes out of her way to let you know that you are not a bother or inconvience to her. I would recommend to anyone that hasn't had their consultation to do as much footwork as you can beforehand it makes things run more smoothly and quicker.

Went for my first consult today after my date
had been moved up! It is a dream come true.
Dr. Clements met with me and my husband and went over all of our concerns and questions.
He was very nice to us both. I am impressed with his knowledge and experience in laproscopic surgery. He performs about 5 lap RNY's a week and is very involved with his patients aftercare. His nurse, Teresa, is also wonderful to talk with. She's had the surgery and is also very concerned about her patients. All of the staff was helpful. Dewanna is involved with the insurance filing and was also great to work with. Overall, I think the consult went well and I left the Clinic feeling comfortable about the whole surgery. I also enjoyed being an early morning appointment. I wasn't rushed in or out. Another patient and I watched a 15 minute video discussion on Lap RNY. It was informative and went over the risks involved. Dr. Clements and staff are great and I will look forward to hearing from my insurance company. Will keep everyone posted.
