Zafar Parvez Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I had my consultation appointment with Dr Parvez on August 31st and my final appointment before surgery with him today. His staff is always amazing and he really doesn't pull any punches. Allthough I've heard negative things, I really feel like I can trust his judgement and am satisfied with my decision to go forth with my surgery. Now I'm just waiting for it to come back from insurance. I am so excited about this and will post another review after my surgery! :)

Upon my first meeting with my surgeon I was very nervous.
Both he and his staff are wonderful & they answered all of my questions and made me feel completely comfortable with my decision.
He is very honest and straight to the point and I liked that a lot.
My surgery went great. The hospital staff was wonderful during my 2 night stay with them.
He is a wonderful surgeon and I would refer anyone to him.

Dr. Parvez is an amazing doctor! Every question I had was answered to a tee!

I had my first counseltation with Dr. Parvez yesterday & I love him.
He is very blunt & straight forward & I love that. I want someone who will be completely honest with me.
He clearly adressed the risks of surgery & answered all of my questions.
He is strict about his rules/ regulations & really emphasizes life changes & aftercare.
He made me feel very comfortable & at ease with my decision. I can't wait for surgery.

I felt alot of support pre-op and post-op from Dr. Parvez and staff.

I was really too excited to really have a first impression. I liked him, he was very nice. My next appt. didnt go so well, however I did find out I was approved through him for surgery.

1/06/09rnMy first impression of Dr. Parvez was he's a very to the point type of person. He wasnt there to waste anyone's time. He let me know of the dedication this was going to take from me. And that this is not a quick fix if I wasn't ready to put my effort into this. I think at the first initial consult he just wants you to realize how this will alter your life. Just so you know that this is the right decision for you. By your next appt I think he really puts effort into getting to know you. Since your always going to have a connection. I haven't had my surgery yet but I'll tell you this his office staff is great. It took them only 2 days after my last office visit to get my surgery approved. I went in on a Tues. and by Friday Anita had called me to let me know that the surgery was approved. Which was great the only bad thing was my iron was lower than they wanted so I needed to get that up. Otherwise I probably would have had the surgery before the end of the year. But I finally have my iron up and have talked to them again so now im just waiting to hear back from them to see what day the hospital has available. I hope it's before the end of this month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.rn1/07/09rnWell they finally called me from Dr. Parvez office with the day of my surgery....It's January 27, 2009. OMG....I can't believe its soooo close. I mean I can but everyday that it took for them to call me back seemed as though it was never gonna happen. Well lets see what happens after. rn2/10/09rnWell had the surgery on the 27th. Everything was good except for the fact that I thought I would be having it lap and ended up being open. Its not so bad though. Well except for the drain! Yuk I hate it! But I should get it out on the 24th of this month. I guess its just done as a precaucion. Well i guess it could have been worse. Dr. Parvez assured me everything came out fine and the drain was just apart of the procedure that depends on each patient. I guess I was just one of the lucky ones! Ha ha.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION WHEN I MET DR. PARVEZ WAS THAT HE WAS STRAIT FORWARD AND ANSWERS ALL QUESTIONS. THE OFFICE IS ALWAYS BUSY AND THEY STILL MAINTAIN CURTIOUS MANNOR. OVERALL, I AM EXCITED TO SAY THAT DR. PARVEZ IS MY SURGEON.

my first impression of my surgeon was that he was a very busy doctor. it hasn't changed cause as i'm his patient he has many other's to attend to.the staff at dr parvaz office is really nice and very helpful.there's nothing that i didn't like.just to stick by his guidelines when he askes you to do something,cuz next visit if you don't he'll call you on it.alway's make your appt's don't skip them and make sure you do your follow ups dr parvaz tell's everyone in his seminar you must not think after surgery you don't need after-care becuz you do.the only risk that can happen after surgery is if you do not follow the dr's orders.how would i rate my dr i would give him 100%.both surgical competence and bedside manner are both very important and my dr zafar parvez has it all and some.....

Dr. Parvez seems to know his stuff. He is straight to the point. He wastes no time and he gives you solid answers. He also takes the time out to answer all of his patients questions and concerns in a timely manner. I have my surgery set for July 2nd,2008 and I am so excited!!
