Zafar Parvez Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

DR. PARVEZ IS A GREAT SURGEON.HE EXPLAINED THE RISKS AND COMPLICATIONS TO ME ,AND ALSO THE MANY BENIFITS OF HAVING THIS SURGERY. I WAS REFERED TO HIM BY 6 PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE SURGERY.THE ONLY NOT SO GOOD THING I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT DR. PARVEZ IS HE NEEDS A BIGGER OFFICE TO FIT ALL OF US PATIENTS.

I felt he was to the point. He does not sugar coat any issues. My impression of the doctor has never changed he is very empathic. He wants also to succeed. He is more than a doctor, he is a friend helping us in our journey to a healthier life. If you are looking for a successful rate of weight loss he is the man to help. He has great bedside manner. I would rate him a 10 plus.

Dr. Parvez was very nice. It took some pushing to get into his office. Once I got in, it was wonderful. I got my pysch consult the same day. Got in to see the dietician the following week. Everything was done in less than two weeks! His office staff worked fast to get my surgery authorized. The whole process took approx 1 month...from the initial consult to surgery date! I would strongly reccommend him. He had an in-office seminar before each of us had our consults. He went over everything that he needed to. I have a wonderful friend who referred me to him and he is everything she said he'd be. I'll have to fill you all in about the surgery once I have it on Dec. 13,2006.

My first impression of Dr. Parvez was that he was a very busy man. It seemed like he didn't really have much time to spend with me discussing the surgery. He breezed in and then breezed out. He needs to learn to be compassionate with his patients. Or maybe it was just me that he treated this way. He was very mean when he was talking to me. I have lupus and have a problem with my blood. I have to be on blood thinners. I know that this will make the surgery tricky. I have had many surgeries and have not had any problems with my previous surgeries. I am aware that this is a serious surgery. I have done my research and I am ready to have this done.

He is a quite man, but a good surgeon. I asked him point blank how many pts he has lost and he told me. Was very honest with me. His office staff is great. The are very efficient. Even when i was calling in all the time trying to get a date for surgery theywould calm me down and keep me up dated. GREAT DR. AND STAFF

Negative..hmmm lets see he did go on vacation so I had to wait a month more for surgery... he was out of town right after I had surgery and another Dr had to make decisions when I had some trouble but other than that The other drs where GReat... Glad they where there when I needed them...

My 1st impression of Dr. Parvez was a good one. He was pleasant, and more than willing to answr all of my questions. His office staff (Especially Nenita) is great...extremely helpful.

Dr. Parvez has saved my life!!! He was wonderful in every way. I have since moved to Texas (where i'm from orig.) I have found a surgeon here and had to go in for a hernia repair (not due to anything Dr. Parvez did) He was very impressed with Dr. Parvez's work. He said that talking with him on the phone (a consult to find out what he did before this dr. went in) he found him very kind and seemed to know what he was doing. He said he had never seen the process in which dr. Parvez uses to do his surgery and was fascinated with it. Rate: 10++++

Dr. Parvez was a very good doctor and his staff as well. My impression has not changed over the two years (2003-2006). The office was comfortable and the staff was very nice
(I didn't care for the secretary too much she was rude) The rest of the staff made up for the rude secretary.

Dr. parvez a caring person and he was involved with the support group when I went. He explained the risks of the surgery in detail and did not sugar coat anything. If I was to do it again, I would go to him.

**Written after surgery**Dr. Parvez is a wonderful surgeon. He was so patient and understanding about all my fears, questions and reassured me on the day of surgery that all would be well. It was. He is extremely skilled in his work and his faith in God was a comfort to me. I am sure he is not perfect but I know his heart is in helping those who need this surgery. He wants so much to see them succeed and his after care program is so wonderful. His staff is quick and through to help and so his he. I know I made the right decision in choosing this sensitive and caring man. He will do everything in his power to take care of you.


**WRITTEN BEFOR SURGERY**My first impression of Dr. Parvez was great. He instantly calmed my apprehension and answered every question I had. His staff is also very kind, helpful, patient and professional. I am very happy to be a patient.

Well I was'nt sure at first, I didnt realy talk to him until my pre op. H e seemed nice , just very very busy.

Well after talkin to hin at pre op, i felt a little at ease. he talked to me! and he was very caring about my feelings

very nice to the point!!!! and very very busy!!

he's not goin to leave you after everything is done. he's like a family member now.
