Chris, WOOO HOOOO and WTG!! Those are awesome numbers there! It is amazing how much of a clothes horse that we can become when all of a sudden we can walk into any store and buy off the rack without paying a steep price. Best of wishes to you!! KimmieTN

Hi everyone, I have not posted in several months but I wanted to share a milestone with all of you. Today I am 7 months out and I have lost 170 lbs. I am down to 250 from 420 and down to a size 38 pants from 60 and XL shirt from 5-6XL. This is the thinnest I have been in over 20 years, I still have abt 30-40 togo. I can buy cothes at any store now and my wife says that I have become a real clothes horse! I would tell anyone that is thinking of having this surgery to go for it. It is the best thing that I have ever done for myself. I have been taken off all my blood pressure meds and I used to have alot of problems with my legs and feet swelling. Not anymore. I have so much energy I find it hard to sit still anymore and I am doing things around my house that I should have been doing all along. There are risks I had a post op infection that set me back about a month, in and out of the hospital 3 times and abdomen drains for abt 6 weeks but I would do it all again I can not say enough good thins about the surgery or my doctor and especially my wife who has supported me through this journey. Good Luck to all who are having surgery and continued sucsess to all making this trip. God Bless you all. Chris

Hi eveyone, I have not posted in a while and wanted to share with everyone that as of 15 weeks out I have lost 126 pounds. I have gone from 420 to 294 I have not weighed under 300 pounds in 18 years. I have gone from wearing size 60 pants and 5-6XL shirts to wearing size 46 pants and 2XL shirts and I am still losing. I have not experienced any platues or problems since my recovery. I am sooooo glad I had this surgery. It has been a godsend I have so much more energy and stamina. You have done great!! You're nearly half way and in only 12 weeks. I had open RNY on 3/6/02 and I've lost 59 lbs. and have 143 to go. Even though my loss is much slower than yours, I'm still pretty happy. Did you exercising alot to lose that fast?

Hi All, I have just reached the 12 week mark and have lost 95lbs. I am so happy that I have had this surgery, I feel so much better have more energy and no more back and leg pain. My Dr. has taken me off one of my BP meds and maybe after more waitloss I can get off the other one. It was not an easy road for me, I had some complications but as I read the boards I feel very fortunate, as I realize that it could have been a lot worse. I hope that the Good Lord will continue to shine on me ( and all of you )!! I feel that this has given me a new lease on life and I can't wait to drop the last 105lbs. Good Luck to all who are having surgery or are recovering and if you have any complications hang in there!! It may seem like you will never be yourself again and you say "What in the world did I do to myself?" In the end for me and hopefully for everyone else here it will be very very worthwile. Chris
