Hi everyone. I am now on the other side. Surgery went well on Monday. It was a lap RNY as planned. My spleen did get nicked so we held off on anticoagulants for 1 day. Pain was controlled well with the PCA until day 2 when they took it and told me to ask for a shot. Then you know,,,,, you get the nurse who acts like it comes out of her butt just to give you the med. Started walking the afternoon after surgery, walked most of the first night, I was real uncomfortable. Tried to walk 1 huge block two times every two hours. The nurses were congratulating me and telling me that they normally have to force people to walk. Came home today. Still very sore and can't get comfortable for anything. Thanks Lori Ann for keeping everyone updated. Talk with you all later - jenn

Hi Amos Family! Guess what?!?! Jenn had her surgery (Lap-rny) this morning and everything was successful and she's resting, but in pain. Tomorrow she will have her leak test and hopefully that'll be successful too. I spoke to Jenn this evening, she was in good spirits, yet very thirsty. I'll be calling her tomorrow evening to find out how the leak test went and how she's feeling. Everyone, if you haven't offer your support, please do and sign her surgery page. Thanks so much Amos Family. Sincerely, Lori Ann
