Hi everyone...I talked with Gail today on the phone and she sounded great. She has been up a number of times already today and is doing better with her walking. She was able to drink yesterday and that of course is always nice after surgery. Her stomach cramping is doing better and she sounded in good spirits. She sends her love to everyone and is looking forward to getting home after the weekend. Please continue to say prayers and send love to Gail. Thanks and blessings to all.

Gail, the coughing will get better! Use that pain medication, get moving as soon and as often as you can, and use your incentive spirometer! In a day or so, this will all be a memory! Best of luck and God Bless!

GAIL, Welcome to the losing side...keep yourself moving, eat a little more of that jello to give you some strength and get ready for the rollercoaster ride to begin. Your going to be a shrinking woman oh so soon!! KimmieTN

Hi all... Well I just wanted to let you know I visited Gail in the hospital this afternoon....she looks great! Doing well. Still sleepy and trying not to push her button but we had a talk about that...LOL....her family is there with her and are very supportive. She was about to get up as I left. Had the odious blue jello for lunch! There is something decidedly unnatural about blue jello! Anyway, just an update! I figure by tomorrow she will be more alert and more ready to talk on the phone!

HI everyone...just a quick update on how Gail is doing. I just talked with her sister and Gail is doing well, according to the doctor and nursing staff. She is VERY tired....and is trying not to take the pain meds so that she wont sleep (which we all know isnt a good idea..push that button if you need it). She hasnt been up walking yet...but she did go for xrays and for her leak test from what I am told..and all is fine. She is able to have a little liquid today and I am sure that will be nice for her. I encouraged her sister to make her walk...and I will call Gail later on to encourage her myself. We all know you HAVE TO WALK after surgery...no blood clots allowed!!! Anyway, please continue to send love and prayers to Gail for a speedy and simple recovery. Blessings to all.

Hello again everyone...I just hung up the phone with Michael (Gails fiance') and all went well with surgery. Gail is on her way to her own room now. Shes pretty tired and a wee bit sore...but I told him to just keep pushing that pain button and all would be fine :-). She can be contacted at 615-342-1000 and she is in room 4116 (but you may want to wait till tomorrow 2/28) so she can rest today. Please continue to pray for a speedy and easy recovery for our friend Gail. Thanks everyone.
