You will love your new life, you will be able to do so many new things again. May the power of speedy healing be with you. Welcome to the losing side. Just remember others have been on the road before you, you are not alone and there will be others after you who will seek the same road as you, and you will be there to help them along

I'm not even at the point where you are, but I can understand how scared you must be. Changes are always difficult, and sometimes you can be paralyzed with fear. BUT, I have had friends who had this operation so long ago, that insurance companies didn't even consider covering the costs. Several years later, my friend has lost about 500lbs and has not only saved his life, BUT GAVE HIM AN ENTIRELY NEW ONE. He had to sell everything he owned to have the operation, but said that if faced with the same situation now, he would do it all over again. He was afraid of both what he was leaving behind and what was ahead. I think most of us are used to setting ourselves up to fail (at least I have) and it's hard to think of our future with promise, hope and good health. All I can tel you is that for my frined, there have been rough days, but he has never looked back. I wish you the best. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

"Twenty years fron now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain Best of luck for a speedy recovery- here's to a great adventure!
