Best wishes to you on your upcoming, life saving surgery. We are both so pleased to be writing to you and sending all of our heartfelt congratulations to you for choosing this procedure to extend your life and to let you live your life to the fullest extent. We both had open rny's in 2001. Mine (Doug, aka: OLD RODEO CLOWN PANTS), was in Oct and I have lost 215 lbs. I started at 450!!!! My sweet wife, Nancy, had hers in June and has lost 110 lbs. Hi Shalonda, My name is Carol and I live in Bothell and my sugeons name is Dr. Lauter, small world huh? I am so excited for you. I am not sure when I will be approved. The paper work went to my insurance company last wednesday. I will be going to Evergreen hospital, will you? You will do fine. Just think how healthy you will be, not to mention how pretty...well I mean prettier.. Because we are already pretty right?.. right !!!!.. Well sweetie.. take care and best of luck and happiness. I was reading your profile, and wanted to wish you good luck on your surgery. Mine is next week, and I am nervous also. It helps to know that other's feel the same way before surgery. I am sure you will come through with flying colors! Congratulations on taking this big step!

Hello Shalonda - <b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you are experiencing a range of emotions right now. The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Sure, there can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey.
