Patricia - I am very glad to know that your surgeon had your best interests at heart. I am sorry that you have to wait another month or so, but I am sure it will go by quickly. Keep your spirits up and hang in there. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care of yourself. : )

Hello family! Well for those of you who didn't know, I didn't have my surgery on Tuesday. When my doctor went in, he saw that my gallbladder was badly infected, he removed it and stopped there! I was obviously VERY dissappointed when I was told in recovery about not having the whole surgery, but knowing that it could have killed me if the infection had spread has helped me accept the fact that I'll just have to wait another month or so. Thanks to everyone who sent their well wishes and support. I apologize that I didn't write back individually, but I can't sit here at the computer very long. I miss reading posts, I hope everyone else is hanging in there ~ God bless you all! xoxoxo

Dear Patricia, I feel so sad for you!! But, you'll be so thankful that you can go into WLS absolutely infection free because you'll be on high doses of antibiotics now to cover the infected gallbladder and it will last 4-6 weeks til your WLS can take place. Many don't have that same opportunity and aren't covered with antibiotics til after the surgery is over. God is watching over you. He guided your surgeons hands and your smart surgeon made an excellent choice. Good Luck and I pray this time goes very fast for you.

Patricia, I'm so sorry to hear that your surgery had to be rescheduled. I know how disappointed you must be. Be thankful though that you have such a conscientious surgeon, one who isn't just into it for the money, patient health be damned. Hang in there. I'll keep you in my prayers. Rhia

Patricia - I am sorry your WLS had to be postponed, but it was best to prevent as much risk of complications as possible. i will keep you in my prayers. I know that you will soon be rescheduled and on your way to the losing side.

Gosh Patricia, you must be really bummed. But, remember, God has a plan for you, and I guess the plan for today was just to remove that infected gallbladder. You rest up and get rid of any residual infection, and you'll be all set for the rest of the surgery in a month or so. I mean, did you really want the surgery done anyway and take the risk of dying from infection? I think not. You hang in there, girl. Your day will come. I hope your recovery from this surgery is quick and uneventful. Bless you.

Hi, Trish, Jamie here again. I'm SO sorry to hear about your WLS surgery being postponed! But it's a good thing thet got rid of that infected gallbladder first! I had my gallbladder removed back in '88 when I was only 16! The pain I went through because of it was no fun (my gallbladder was about to burst when they finally removed it)! Try not to worry, even though I know it's hard not to. That 4-6 wks. will fly by! My best wishes to you!!! ;-)

Sorry to hear that you had to be postponed, I'm sure you are really disappointed. Your new date will be here before you know it and you can go in confident that you are under the care of a wonderful surgeon who takes no chances with your health. Good luck to you.
