I am home, not really up to sitting at the computer too long. I found over 50 posts when I got home, thank you very much. As you know I had a setback with an emergency second surgery to repair a leak. No it was NOT in my pouch but the at the site of the incision. Apparently Lovenox and I dont get along very well (blood thinner) I am weak as a kitten, however, cheered I did not come home on O2. Would I do it again. No. Ask me again next month. I am single, but have been forced to call in reinforcements to stay with me for the next month...but they were more than willing so that is ok. I did not have a good hospital experience and will post to that in a week or so as well as sending a letter to the hospital itself. thanks again for your support.

Dear Connie~~~I am glad the doc found the reason for your feeling poorly. Sorry you had to have a second procedure. Keep yourself comfortable with the PCA pump. May God continue to watch over you; I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Be well. Lorraine

Connie, Hope you start to feel better soon. Setbacks may be a learning experience but I'm sure you would have rather skipped the lesson & just gone home.

Connie called me late this afternoon. She is doing well. To clarify the earlier post, Connie does not have a broken rib. She did have a blind bleeder at one of the port hole sites and had emergency surgery. To reach the bleeder the surgeon had to go in between two ribs which probably FEELS like it broke something, but she is just bruised and will be sore from it for awhile. Her nursing care while in the hospital has been somewhat lacking and that has added to her misery. However, Connie is hanging in there and trying to maintain a positive attitude and she does feel better, so that's good. Please continue to keep Connie in your prayers.

Hi AMOS Family. I just spoke to Connie and she said Tuesday night she had to go back in for emergency surgery. She was bleed from the stab wound from her lap on Monday. They went in a repaired that and broke a rib, so she also has pain from that. They also gave her some blood. She still has her IV, but when I spoke to her she sounded better and had been up walking. Doctor said they are taking it very slowly. She is having a difficult times so let's all send prayers to Connie for her to heal quickly. She wanted me to post and let everyone know that if you call & don't get an answer, she just isn't answering the phone. It's very hard to reach and she is trying to rest as much as possible. She hopes to be back on here real soon.

Hi everyone. Went to visit Connie @ the hospital yesterday and she was doing ok. She said that she is very weak (too weak to walk). Not for sure yet, but they may give her some blood which could help w/ her being weak. The surgery itself went well and she was being able to eat her wonderful jello and drink which means she passed her leak test. She said it's funny cause she's not even hungry. Let's all go and give her some encouragement. I will call to check on her again later today.

Hello everyone. Connie's angel here. Just called the hospital and her nurse Shelly said she was still in the recovery room and should be coming up to her room in about a 1/2 hour. I will call back in about an hour to find out what/how her surgery went. Will update more as I find out. I will also be going up to visit her tomorrow at the hospital. Connie you are now on the losing side. Congrats to you!!!
